- Non-linear Neurofeedback -

Learn About NLD Neurofeedback with Tania Mustain

What is Neurofeedback?

Non-linear neurofeedback is a brain training technique that harnesses the power of your brain’s inherent ability to change. The non-linear dynamical (NLD) approaches are generalized methods of neuro-regulation based on non-linear dynamical systems theory. This technique is commonly employed in nonclinical populations for optimal mental fitness, brain exercise, and meditation practice.

This type of brain training is interactive, fun, and medication-free, focusing on improving self-control over specific brain functions. The goal? To reduce symptoms of various mental health conditions, enhance performance, and promote a more balanced brain state.

What to Expect:

Tania Mustain, our Holistic Health Practitioner, administers non-linear neurofeedback sessions. She brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the human brain to each session, ensuring you receive personalized, comprehensive care.

During a non-linear neurofeedback session, you can expect a comfortable and non-invasive process. Sensors will be placed on your scalp to measure brain waves. The neurofeedback system then provides real-time feedback to help the brain self-regulate. Sessions are 33 minutes long and consist of listening to music while the device does the rest. Most people report feelings of relaxation and increased mental clarity during and after the session.

How Does Neurofeedback Help?

The most common changes we see using non-linear neurofeedback include shifts in sleep and sleep hygiene, focus, stress levels, and mood regulation. But we see an entire cascade of impact. When the Central Nervous System is more regulated, people find this approach can alleviate symptoms associated with a wide range of conditions, including:

  • ADD/ADHD

  • Addictions

  • Anxiety

  • Chronic pain

  • Depression

  • Headaches

  • Cognitive and memory problems

  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

  • Pain Management

  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

  • Sleep Problems

  • Traumatic brain injury/concussion
